Adani Group would spend Rs 33,000 crore in Odisha across electricity, cement, and digital sectors.

On Wednesday, the Adani Group announced new investments in Odisha totalling more than Rs 33,000 crore, encompassing digital infrastructure, electricity generation, and cement manufacture, bolstering business confidence in the state's growth potential.
The statement was made at a state government ceremony in Bhuinpur, Khurda, where 36 industrial projects totalling more than Rs 40,000 crore were inaugurated and launched. In the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, Karan Adani, Managing Director of Adani Ports and SEZ and Chairman of ACC Limited, presented three key projects that the group intends to carry out in the state.
Karan Adani emphasised the group's long-standing engagement in Odisha, saying the new efforts go beyond capacity growth and demonstrate confidence in the state's changing economic scenario.

One of the important projects is a data centre in Bhubaneswar's Info Valley, which would cost roughly Rs 800 crore. The facility is intended to generate approximately 200 skilled employment and act as a critical hub for digital services such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and e-governance.
In addition, the group plans to build a thermal power plant in Cuttack for Rs 30,181 crore. The project aims to improve energy availability for enterprises and consumers while creating around 7,000 job opportunities.
A cement production complex is also planned for the Cuttack region, with an investment of Rs 2,100 crore and the potential to create almost 2,500 employment while strengthening local supply chains for infrastructure development.

Karan Adani underlined that the combined investments demonstrate a strong belief in Odisha's present economic period and its importance in India's overall industrial progress.
He also acknowledged the state government's support, complimenting the leadership on its policy clarity and governance style. Stressing the group's long-term commitment, he stated that the company's growth is inextricably related to Odisha's progress, laying the groundwork for a long-term cooperation.
