On May 7, Hardik Gajjar's Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart (Hridayam) debuted in cinemas. The film witnessed a decent opening weekend at the box office. Over the course of its first four days, the devotional drama grew steadily, and over the weekend, sales considerably increased.
Sacnilk reported that the movie made ₹42 lakh on its first day of release. This number was collected throughout 510 shows in the Thursday release, with an occupancy rate of about 18%. The movie then saw a sharp increase on Friday, earning ₹1.15 crore from 1,549 shows with a 15.2 percent occupancy rate.
On day three, Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart (Hridayam) earned ₹2.25 crore, maintaining the momentum. On Saturday, the movie was shown in 1,713 theatres, with a 27.5% occupancy percentage.
The devotional movie earned its highest single-day receipts to date on its opening Sunday. With 1,995 performances and a sharp increase in occupancy to 37.7%, it made ₹3.5 crore. The increase in sales indicates that the movie benefited from favourable word-of-mouth and weekend attendance.
With this, Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart (Hridayam) wrapped up its opening weekend with a total collection of ₹7.32 crore at the domestic box office.The first part of the Krishnavataram trilogy is called Krishnavataram Part 1: The Heart (Hridayam). The religious play is inspired by Vyasa's Brahma Vaivarta Purana, a Hindu Sanskrit scripture. The narrative centers on Lord Krishna's life with his consorts, Rukmini and Sathyabhama, and examines the events that follow his split from Radha.
Sanskruti Jayana plays Sathyabhama in the movie, while Siddharth Gupta plays Krishna. Sushmitha Bhat essays the role of Radha and Nivaashiyni Krishnan appears as Rukmini. Jantee Hazarika, Karthik Jayaram, Amanjot Singh and Smrithi Srikanth are also part of the project.
Athasrikatha Motion Pictures and Creativeland Studios Entertainment have partnered to support the movie.
