After seeing suspicious activity, the army kills two terrorists in Kupwara, J&K; search operations continue

The Indian Army reported that two terrorists were killed in Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, on Monday night. According to the official statement, troops from the Indian Army started shooting when they noticed suspicious activity.

According to a statement released by Indian Army officials, "a joint operation was launched by Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir police in Machhal Sector, Kupwara on 13 October 2025, based on specific intelligence input by JKP & corroborated by sources and agencies regarding likely infiltration attempt."

Terrorists opened indiscriminate fire when alert troops detected suspicious activity and challenged. Two terrorists were neutralised by the troops' excellent fire response. Large quantity of weapons and equipment recovered," police noted.
