After two months, a new Gen-Z protest rocked Nepal, and a curfew was enforced.

According to ANI, a curfew has been put in place in Nepal's Bara district after young people identifying as Gen Z returned to the streets one day after fighting with CPN-UML officials.
Since the early hours of the morning, protesters have been assembling in Simara's streets and fighting with the police. Authorities have implemented a curfew from 1 to 8 p.m. (local time) in response to the development.
According to assistant chief district officer Chhabiraman Subedi, "curfew has been reimposed following the clash with the police to bring the situation under control," ANI was informed. This comes one day after confrontations on Wednesday injured six Gen Z protestors.
PTI claims that after UML (Unified Marxist-Leninist) leaders intended to visit the district prior to the election on March 5, 2026, tensions in the district started.According to the news agency, which cited the police, a fight broke out when a Buddha Air aircraft carrying CPN-UML general secretary Shankar Pokharel and party youth leader Mahesh Basnet was about to depart from Kathmandu for Simara, where they were supposed to speak at an anti-government demonstration.
The airport had to stop operations as the police used tear gas on the protesters as the conflict intensified.
At least 76 individuals lost their lives in protests in September that were led by demonstrators under the loose "Gen Z" umbrella and were sparked by resentment over a temporary government ban on social media.KP Oli, the UML Chairman and Prime Minister at the time, was forced to resign from his position by the demonstrators. Sushila Karki, a 73-year-old former chief justice of Nepal, was sworn in as the nation's first female prime minister of an interim administration.
