On the job front, Akshay Kumar is preparing for the release of Priyadarshan's Bhooth Bangla, alongside Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, Paresh Rawal, and Rajpal Yadav.
The trailer depicts Akshay Kumar insisting on marrying at Mangalpur's haunted mansion, which has been cursed by Vadhusur for years.
While all of the other characters are consistent with Priyadarshan's concept, Tabu appears to be the link between the human and spirit worlds.
The film, which was originally scheduled to be released on May 15, 2026, will now be released earlier, on April 16.
The release date was moved back to April 16 due to the Dhurandhar phenomenon at the box office.
Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan last worked together on Khatta Meetha in 2010.
Akshay Kumar, Shobha Kapoor, and Ektaa R. Kapoor produce Bhooth Bangla, which is presented by Balaji Motion Pictures (a branch of Balaji Telefilms Ltd.) in association with Cape of Good Films.
