Legendary singer Asha Bhosle was cremated in Mumbai on Monday, April 13, with full state honours, marking an emotional farewell for India. Thousands of people mourned the legendary voice that influenced Indian music for more than eight decades as her last voyage passed through the city.

Asha Bhosle's body was transported by car from her Lower Parel home to the Shivaji Park cremation in Dadar. The hearse was decorated with yellow and white flowers and included a big picture of the singer donning a traditional Maharashtrian "nath."

At 4 p.m., the cremation was held at the Shivaji Park Crematorium. During the final ceremonies, family members were present, including her son Anand Bhosle and siblings Usha and Hridaynath Mangeshkar.
Actor Aamir Khan was seen coming at the crematorium, and singers Anup Jalota and Shaan gave moving performances at the funeral.
Fans and well-wishers were given the opportunity to pay their final respects during a public viewing at her home earlier in the day.
Ceremonial Tribute and Full State Honours
During her last ceremonies, Asha Bhosle received full state honours. After being transported from Breach Candy Hospital, her body was placed in a glass coffin covered in the Indian tricolour. There was also a formal police salute.Celebrities Assemble to Honour
To celebrate the legend, a number of well-known people from the music, film, and sports industries came together. Sachin and Anjali Tendulkar were among those in attendance.
Actors and filmmakers including Jackie Shroff, Riteish Deshmukh, Renuka Shahane, Ranveer Singh, Aamir Khan, and Rakesh Roshan arrived after music maestro AR Rahman. Meenakshi Sheshadri, Helen, and Poonam Dhillon were among the seasoned actors present.
On Saturday, the singer was brought to the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. She had been fighting several health problems, and doctors eventually confirmed that she died on Sunday from multi-organ failure.Concerning Asha Bhosle
Asha Bhosle, who was born to Pandit Deenanath Mangeshkar, started her musical career at an early age. The Marathi movie song "Chala Chala Nav Bala" from Majha Bal marked her debut in 1943.
She created an unmatched legacy over the years by producing timeless singles in a variety of genres. In Indian cinema, her partnerships with composer RD Burman—with whom she eventually got married—remain among the most renowned.
Her range was boundless, ranging from the upbeat Piya Tu Ab To Aaja and Dum Maro Dum to the soulful Dil Cheez Kya Hai and the timeless Chura Liya Hai Tumne.
Additionally, she received two National Film Awards: the Padma Vibhushan in 2008 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2000.
