Badshah Removes Derogatory Tateeree Parts After Row; New Version Drops April 14

Rapper Badshah, who has faced criticism for his controversial song Tateeree, announced on Friday that he had deleted all "derogatory" elements from the Haryanvi track after meeting with multiple authorities, including the National Commission for Women.
The rapper, who is known for songs like Garmi, Kar Gayi Chul, and Jugnu, has also announced that a new version of the song will be released on April 14.
Badshah stated in a Hindi-language statement on Instagram, "In the previous few days, we listened to what government officials, the National Commission for Women, social workers, and others who care about our community had to say about our song Tateeree. We have made the required edits to the song and eliminated any elements that were deemed offensive."

"I appreciate the feedback and the intent behind it. He emphasised the importance of both being an artist and being responsible for society and culture, revealing the new version of the song, Tateeree Phir Se.Your encouragement, voice, and trust have kept this song alive. "I hope the new version retains the same energy and respect," the rapper concluded.
Tateeree Phir Se will be available across all platforms starting April 14.
Following widespread criticism, Badshah apologised for hurting people's feelings with the song, whose lyrics were labelled "vulgar" and "obscene" by several social media users.

"I'm a really proud Haryanvi. "I never intended to speak negatively about any Haryana child or woman," he stated in an Instagram video at the time.
Badshah went before the National Commission for Women (NCW) earlier this week, when she apologised in writing for the Tateeree controversy. According to his legal counsel, the rapper reportedly told the committee that he would submit a women's empowerment song within four months.
Last month, Haryana Police removed 857 Tateeree-related connections in collaboration with several social media platforms, following proper legal procedures.
