Bollywoods He Man and original action actor Dharmendra passes away at the age of 89 and is cremated in front of his family.

At the age of 89, actor Dharmendra, one of the most prosperous and well-liked leading actors in Indian movie history, passed away. The actor passed away on Monday morning at his Juhu residence while recuperating at home following a severe health scare earlier this month. Later, in front of his family, he was cremated in the Pawan Hans Crematory.
Actors Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol, and Esha Deol are among the six offspring of the famous actor, who is survived by his two wives, Prakash Kaur and Hema Malini.
The film career of Dharmendra
Dharmendra, who was born in a Ludhiana hamlet in 1935, made his cinema debut in the love drama Dil Bhi Tera Hum Bhi Tere in 1960.He made a name for himself as a romantic hero in the 1960s, frequently taking on supporting roles or collaborating with more well-known female actors in movies like Bandini, Ayee Milan Ki Bela, and Khamoshi. With Chetan Anand's 1965 war movie Haqeeqat, he became well-known. But the next year, Phool Aur Patthar turned him into a marketable celebrity.
He appeared in some of Bollywood's biggest hits over the following ten years, including Mera Gaon Mera Desh, Seeta Aur Geeta, Chupke Chupke, Sholay, and Yaadon Ki Baraat. He switched to action movies in the 1980s, frequently directing groups or low-budget crime thrillers. He became well-known as "He Man of India" and achieved success in this genre as well.

One of the few stars to effectively move into character acting, Dharmendra played supporting parts in movies such as Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Johnny Gaddaar, and Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya. He collaborated with his kids, Sunny and Bobby, on Apne and Yamla Pagla Deewana movies. Ikkis, his last movie, will be out next month.
Personal life of Dharmendra At the age of 19, Dharmendra wed Prakash Kaur. Sunny and Bobby, who followed in his footsteps into Bollywood, are among his four children with her. He wed Hema Malini, his regular co-star, in 1980. Esha and Ahana Deol are their children.

Dharmendra, a Padma Bhushan laureate, was elected on a Bharatiya Janata Party ticket from Bikaner to the Lok Sabha in 2004 and held the office for one term.
