Nitish Kumar, Bihar's chairman Minister and Janata Dal (United) chairman, will take his oath as a Rajya Sabha member today.
Both Bihar Deputy Chief Ministers, Vijay Kumar Sinha and Samrat Choudhary, arrived in the national capital yesterday and are expected to attend the oath ceremony.
After being elected to the Rajya Sabha, Kumar resigned from the Bihar Legislative Council (MLC) on March 30.
BJP President Nitin Nabin has stated that there are no disagreements within the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on the approaching appointment of a new Bihar Chief Minister, as Nitish Kumar will take oath as Rajya Sabha MP.
In an interview with ANI, Nitin Nabin stated that the process is proceeding in an organised manner.There are no differences; everything is continuing as planned. Nitish Kumar will take the oath of office in the Rajya Sabha on the 10th.The BJP has always respected the gathbandhan dharma, which is why parties still trust us now. Everything is being resolved under the leadership of Nitish Kumar," he said.
Nitish Kumar is Bihar's longest-serving chief minister. Nitish Kumar began his political career as an MLA in 1985 and then served as a Union Minister under the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government until becoming Bihar's Chief Minister in 2005. He is one of the most experienced and senior political leaders in the country.
