Police in Balasore carry out the mothers cremation after sons refuse to perform her final rites

An old woman's final rites were carried out by police in the heartbreaking Balasore region of Odisha after her body was reportedly left neglected for about ten hours due to a disagreement between her sons.
The Basta Police Station is in charge of Lokanathpur village, where the event was reported.The deceased woman, known as Tulasi Das, reportedly died early on Tuesday.
Funeral Rituals Are Delayed by Family Conflict
Tulasi Das reportedly had three boys, according to sources. She had been living in the area with her younger son, but her elder son had supposedly been missing for a long time.The middle and younger boys allegedly got into a fight over who would carry out the last rites after she passed away at around ten in the morning.After obtaining information, police intervene.
Police officers from the Amarda Road Outpost raced to the area after learning of the event in the evening.When the police arrived, they discovered that none of the relatives were willing to carry out the funeral customs.The police officers chose to perform the final rites themselves since no one was willing to assume responsibility.
The woman passed away around 10 AM on Tuesday, according to Officer-in-Charge Bijay Kumar. We were informed that the body was left unattended outside the house as a result of a disagreement between brothers. We were forced to carry out the final rites since no one was prepared to do so.

Police Use Shoulders to Carry Their Bodies
Police officers hoisted the elderly woman's body on their shoulders and transported it for cremation in what is generally regarded as a humanitarian gesture.
Later, the final ceremonies were carried out on the Subarnarekha River's banks.
