President Murmu will open projects in Rourkela valued at more than Rs 150 crore.

On April 21, President Droupadi Murmu will travel to Rourkela, Odisha, to launch a number of development initiatives that will improve the city's urban infrastructure and promote its cultural and recreational areas.
The President would land at Jharsuguda airport and take a helicopter to Rourkela, according to Union Tribal Affairs Minister and Sundargarh MP Jual Oram, as reported by The New Indian Express.
She will officially open the Rourkela One project, which is situated in the Civil Township region and consists of an auditorium, a tribal museum, and an integrated command and control center.She will also virtually open a planetarium at Chhend, a science park, and a large recreational area at Koelnagar.
Nearly 10,000 kids and a variety of cultural organisations are scheduled to greet the President during his visit. Additionally, self-help groups' cultural performances and displays will be part of the program.
According to BJP spokesperson Dhiren Senapati's preliminary arrangements, the President is expected to arrive at the Sector 13 location at approximately 11:10 am before moving on to the Rourkela One complex. At around 4:05 p.m., she is expected to leave for Jharsuguda.Deenah Dastageer, CEO of RSCL, and the Union Minister had earlier discussed the ongoing preparations. The Koelnagar recreational park was constructed for about Rs 42.44 crore, while the Rourkela One project was established at an estimated cost of Rs 88 crore.
The combined cost of the planetarium and scientific park is about Rs 27 crore, making the project worth more than Rs 150 crore.
In addition to highlighting Rourkela's cultural and developmental endeavours, the impending visit is anticipated to improve the city's infrastructure.
