Regarding the Iran-Israel situation, PM Modi chairs a high-level security meeting.

According to reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security, the nation's highest decision-making body for security and strategic issues, on Sunday night. The discussion covered the changing circumstances brought on by the new West Asian conflict.

The purpose of the meeting was to assess the current state of affairs following the US and Israel war on Iran and the assassination of Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.Without revealing the specifics of the discussion, a source claimed that the prime minister presided over a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS).

Following his two-day visit to Rajasthan, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry, PM Modi landed in the nation's capital at approximately 9.30 p.m., just before the CCS meeting.
Top officials briefed committee members, including Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, on the current state of affairs in West Asia and its consequences for India, according to the sources.
The discussion was attended by the Prime Minister's senior secretaries, P K Mishra and Shaktikanta Das, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, Cabinet Secretary T V Somanathan, and Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri.

According to the sources, the discussion is thought to have covered the safety of Indian people residing in West Asia as well as those who are trapped, as well as how to handle the situation should it worsen.
West Asian airspace is currently virtually closed.
Hundreds of Indians are trapped in Dubai, Doha, and other major airports in the region as a result of the military escalation in West Asia, which has affected aircraft services. Many of them have taken to social media to request help from the Indian government.
According to the sources, the meeting also assessed the situation resulting from the Iranian authorities' blockage of the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial shipping route for Indian oil companies.Over 40,000 Indians reside in Israel, whereas another 10,000 reside, study, and work in Iran. There are roughly nine million Indians throughout the Gulf and West Asia.
In the past, when there were hostilities, India was able to successfully remove thousands of its citizens from many parts of the world, including West Asia.
According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), helplines have been established and Indian diplomats throughout the area maintain constant communication with their citizens.
Israel and the United States launched a massive attack on Iran early Saturday, killing Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei. The 86-year-old's passing was reported early Sunday by Iranian state television and the state-run IRNA news agency.Their "greatest chance" to "take back their country" was stated by US President Donald Trump.
According to Trump, the intense and targeted bombing would go on for the duration of the week or beyond if needed.
