The Hyderabad cricket facility will surpass the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad

The state government plans to construct a 100-acre cricket stadium at Bharat Future City, which would be larger than the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad, which has a capacity of 1.32 lakh. The foundation stone is anticipated to be laid in December by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.
The stadium will be developed by the government as a component of a multipurpose, world-class sports and events facility. At Bharat Future City, officials are busy locating appropriate land for the project. It is anticipated that the projected stadium will have more seats than the Narendra Modi stadium, which is now the biggest cricket arena in India. Additionally, it is expected to cost more to build than the stadium in Ahmedabad.

According to sources, the state government would supply the necessary land, and the BCCI would cover the costs of building and upkeep. The BCCI and the state government would co-manage the facility under a concept that officials are developing.
The stadium is anticipated to have excellent access to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, the Outer Ring Road, the projected Regional Ring Road, and the proposed Metro extension to Future City.
(RGIA) in the nearby town of Shamshabad. Additionally, the building would be a component of Future City's proposed Sports City, tourism, and Net-Zero City themes.
The current Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Uppal lacks the capacity needed for significant international events like World Cup matches, according to officials.

A new stadium will serve as a site for conventions
The facility would accommodate football games and major concerts in addition to cricket, as the chief minister has envisioned.
Given Hyderabad's demand for a sizable facility comparable to the Hyderabad International Convention Center, the government is also looking into amenities that would enable the stadium to host significant events and conventions.
In order to improve opportunities, the state is also concentrating on building top-notch sports facilities in Bharat Future City.
for young athletes, officials stated, adding that the Young India Physical Education and Sports University is already collaborating with foreign organizations and universities to achieve this objective.
