The Indian mens football team will compete in the Unity Cup 2026 in London.

The Indian men's football squad will compete in the Unity Cup 2026, which will be hosted in London from May 26 to 30. According to the AIFF website, the four-nation friendly tournament will be held at Charlton Athletic FC's home ground, The Valley. India will meet Jamaica in the second semi-final on May 27, with kickoff at 19:30 BST (00:00 IST, May 28). The first semi-final between Nigeria and Zimbabwe will take place on May 26. The winners of the semi-finals will advance to the final on May 30, while the other teams will compete in the third-place playoff.

The Blue Tigers will return to the United Kingdom for international matches after a 24-year absence. Historically, when India last played in the UK in 2002, it was against Jamaica in two friendly matches, losing 0-3 in Watford and drawing 0-0 in Wolverhampton. India has never faced Nigeria or Zimbabwe before.
AIFF Deputy Secretary General M Satyanarayan stated, "We, at the All India Football Federation, are delighted that the Indian men's national team will be returning to the United Kingdom after 24 years, and it is especially special for us to participate in an international football tournament in the United Kingdom for the first time."

"This tournament provides an excellent opportunity for the Indian team to compete against strong and respected opponents from Nigeria, Jamaica, and Zimbabwe." Facing teams with long football histories, including those that have competed in FIFA World Cups and have consistently been among the top teams in their respective continents, will provide our players with valuable exposure and experience as we prepare for the future," he said.
"Opportunities to compete against such high-quality opposition are rare, and we are dedicated to taking full advantage of this platform to test ourselves, learn, and advance our worldwide development. We thank the organisers for this chance and look forward to an entertaining and competitive tournament," he said.

According to the latest FIFA Men's globe Rankings, India is 136th in the globe. Nigeria is ranked 26th, Jamaica 71st, and Zimbabwe 130th, indicating the quality of competition the Blue Tigers will encounter.
