The Odisha Chief Minister has announced a Rs 20 crore infrastructure boost for Keonjhars Jhumpura High School.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced a Rs 20 crore development fund for Jhumpura High School in Keonjhar district at its Diamond Jubilee celebrations on Tuesday, marking a significant step towards bolstering school facilities.
Among other necessary facilities, the proposed improvement calls for the construction of a 500-seat theatre, a multi-story academic structure, indoor sports facilities, a boundary wall, and a dedicated bicycle stand. According to the Chief Minister, the initiative's goal is to make the school one of Odisha's top educational institutions.
As the primary guest at the event, Majhi also declared that the Kanupur Dam project will soon improve irrigation infrastructure in the Jhumpura region, which will assist the local populace even more.

The Chief Minister, a graduate of the institution, reflected on his time as a student and showed signs of emotion throughout the visit. "Not just as a former student, but as the Chief Minister of the state, I feel proud of my school today," he remarked, speaking to the assembly.
"CM Majhi was in class 10 here when I completed my BSc in 1986. Back then, I was his instructor. Gopalkrushna Barik, a teacher, remarked, "He loves teachers because he was a teacher earlier."

He also congratulated instructors and honoured his mentors by patting their feet throughout the event, receiving praise from the crowd.

Students, alumni, and locals all participated in the Diamond Jubilee celebration, making it a moment of pride for the area.
