Odisha's Chief Minister has declared the upgradation of Khariar Road to Municipality status, enhancing its administrative framework and local governance.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi made important announcements during his visit to Nuapada district on Monday, ahead of the upcoming elections.
CM Majhi has declared Khariar Road a Municipality and announced Komna and Sinapali as Notified Area Councils (NACs). Additionally, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for welfare projects totaling Rs 1,101 crore for the Nuapada district.
CM Majhi inaugurated 109 projects worth Rs 64 crore and laid foundation stones for 39 new projects valued at Rs 159 crore at a public gathering in the Mini Stadium. He promised Rs 802 crore for irrigation projects to support agriculture. Additionally, he announced the upgradation of the Komna block to NAC and the Khariar Road NAC to a Municipality, reflecting the government's commitment to development.
