Following a trip to the Maldives in January 2023, there were rumours that Vijay and Rashmika were dating. Together, the duo has made news a lot since then.

Telugu superstar Vijay Deverakonda and his family paid a visit to Sri Sathya Sai Baba's Prasanthi Nilayam ashram in Puttaparthi a few days after the rumours of his private engagement to Rashmika Mandanna became viral.

During the visit, astute admirers immediately saw the engagement band on his finger.

Vijay arrived at the ashram with a bouquet and was greeted by his brother, Anand Deverakonda. When the ring was revealed, fans reacted quickly. One fan wrote, "Oo myyy god I'm crying rn, I was waiting for this my whole life and now it's happening, and I can't stop my tears."

Sources close to the couple claim that on October 3, Vijay and Rashmika were engaged in a secret ceremony that was attended by close friends and family. According to reports, the pair intends to get married in February 2026. Rashmika and Vijay have not yet formally announced their engagement or wedding to the public.
After Rashmika posted photos of herself wearing a saree with a tilak on her forehead, rumours of the engagement grew more intense. Her post's caption read:

"My dears, happy Dussehra …I'm particularly appreciative this year because of all the love you've shown for our song and the Thamma trailer.Every moment is made greater and more joyful for me by your messages, enthusiasm, and unwavering support. Looking forward to seeing you all at the promotions."
