Yuvraj Singh was diagnosed with cancer and told by his doctor that he only had 3-6 months to live. His reply

Yuvraj Singh, one of the most prolific match-winners in Indian cricket, has a story that will inspire future generations of players. Yuvraj's life is a true cricketing hero's narrative, from earning Player of the Series accolades in the 2007 T20 World Cup and 2011 ODI World Cup to returning after cancer treatment. The man who fought cancer and returned to the Indian team revealed up about his battle with the fatal disease, stating that he was given only three to six months to live.
Yuvraj was battling cancer during the 2011 World Cup, but he opted to overcome the pain and scepticism to give some of his best performances."It was difficult to take. You're at the pinnacle of your career, on top of a mountain, and you fall into a ditch. I was in Delhi. We were going on a trip of the West Indies and England. Ganguly had retired, and my Test slot had recently opened. I'd been waiting for that spot for seven years. "I said, 'I don't care if I die, I need that spot.' But I became sicker and sicker."Dr. Nitesh Rohatgi told me, 'The tumour is between your heart and lung. You can either go play cricket or suffer a heart attack. If you do not undergo chemotherapy, you will only have three to six months to survive.

"That's when I realised I needed to think," Yuvraj stated in an interview with Michael Vaughan on The Overlap Cricket.
Yuvraj came to the United States for therapy and was informed he might never play cricket again. He maintained a winning mentality and never gave up hope.I travelled to the United States to see Dr. Einhorn, who treated Lance Armstrong. It took a year to accept that I might never play again. Mentally, it was difficult. I needed something to push myself. If I don't play cricket, who am I? I am no one. "That is what I believed," he stated.

Yuvraj also stated that he continued to watch cricket videos while undergoing therapy. During this time, he had visits from Anil Kumble and Sachin Tendulkar. Kumble encouraged him to rest and avoid stressful activities like viewing films.I kept watching old videos. Anil Kumble visited America, shut down my laptop, and told me, 'Focus on your health, quit watching cricket videos.' Sachin came to visit me in England. Dr. Einhorn gave me confidence, saying, 'You'll be a man who walks out of this hospital and never gets cancer again.' I returned and played for India in six months, at the T20 World Cup. I wasn't at my best, but I still received a Man of the Match.

Then Zaheer Khan and I travelled to France for two months of fitness training in a rural place known as Brive. We got fitter, came back, and made another comeback," Yuvraj explained.
