Advice from Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida urged citizens and guests not to bring presents to her office by posting the policy on social media. During Diwali and other festival times, the notification reaffirmed that the regulation is applicable to all state government offices and PSUs.All departments received formal letters instructing them to strictly follow the guideline.According to the letters, spending on presents or similar things will not be allowed, and all tiers of state government must guarantee compliance.
