Registration for SSC CGL 2025 is now open for 14,582 positions; see details here.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has started the application process for the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2025. Eligible candidates can now submit their applications for 14,582 vacancies via the official SSC website, link - ssc.gov.in.

The last date to apply is July 4, 2025, and the deadline for online fee payment is July 5, 2025. A correction window will be available from July 9 to July 11, 2025, for applicants who need to edit their submitted forms.

Tier I exam in August

The Tier I examination will be conducted between August 13 and August 30, 2025. This year, the SSC aims to fill around 14,582 vacancies in various Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ positions across Central Government Ministries, Departments, Constitutional and Statutory Bodies, and Tribunals.

Educational qualifications

Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university. For Junior Statistical Officer (JSO), candidates should either have at least 60% in Mathematics in Class 12 or have studied Statistics as a subject at the degree level. For Statistical Investigator Grade-II, Statistics must be studied across all parts or semesters of the degree course.

Selection process and exam pattern

The selection will be based on two computer-based exams – Tier I and Tier II. Tier I will include objective multiple-choice questions. All questions, except those in English Comprehension, will be available in both English and Hindi. There will be a negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

Application fee and exemptions

Candidates must pay Rs 100 as the application fee. However, women candidates and those belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, and ESM categories eligible for reservation are exempted from paying the fee.
