Approximately 8.5 lakh people have updated their address using the new Aadhaar app, while nearly 4 million users have updated their mobile numbers.Since its inception less than five months ago, the Aadhaar App has had over 31 million downloads, demonstrating its strong popularity among Indians. According to a statement by Aadhaar custodian The Unique Identification Authority of India, "the growing adoption reflects increasing resident confidence in the App for bringing services at their fingertips."

Numerous services are made possible by the new Aadhaar App, including the ability to update addresses and cell numbers straight from smartphones.
Additionally, it eliminates the necessity for carrying visiting cards by enabling digital contact information transmission via an integrated QR code.The software offers a number of pro-people features, such as a QR-based editable contact card for simple contact sharing in place of actual visiting cards, biometric lock/unlock in a single click, facial verification for evidence of presence, and authentication history.
