As Pakistan Shaheens defeat India A in the Asia Cup Rising Stars, Mohsin Naqvi made an unexpected post.

In the Asia Cup Rising Stars competition in Doha on Sunday, India A was shockingly defeated by Pakistan Shaheen by eight wickets. India A was cruising at 91 for three in the tenth over when Pakistan, choosing to field first, pulled off an incredible comeback to bowl them out for just 136. Pakistan Shaheens won the competition for the second time after chasing down the mark of 137 with 40 balls remaining. Mohsin Naqvi, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), praised the squad for their outstanding effort after the victory.
Naqvi praised the squad on X (previously Twitter) for playing courageous and powerful cricket against their bitter enemies."Today is a proud time for the Board and for Pakistan! After chasing the mark in 13.2 overs, our Pakistan Shaheens overcame India A by 8 wickets. An incredible, brave, and overpowering performance at the Asia Cup Rising Stars Tournament in Doha. Excellent cricket played by our young players—Pakistan's future is bright. "Congratulations to the country!" Naqvi wrote on X.
However, many were taken aback by Naqvi's remark because Pakistan Shaheens' triumph was the team's only favorable outcome, and that too at a relatively early point in the competition. As a result, many people were surprised by the post.
The outcome was Pakistan's first victory over India in a cricket tournament in a long time.India defeated them three times in the senior men's Asia Cup 2025, which was their most recent defeat.
It's interesting to note that, in keeping with the tradition established during the senior men's Asia Cup 2025 matches, the captains of the two teams did not shake hands during the toss.
On social media, a bizarre rumor surfaced that, at the conclusion of the match, Indian players contacted their Pakistani rivals. But these assertions were not at all true. After the game, a video of Pakistani cricket players and support personnel shaking hands went viral.Maaz Sadaqat of Pakistan, who opened the game with an undefeated 79 off 47 balls that included seven fours and four sixes, was the match's hero. He also helped with the ball, taking 2/12 to round off a great all-round effort.
