Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji's upcoming spy thriller film War 2 is nearing completion and the makers are reportedly planning to drop the first look of Jr NTR alongside Hrithik Roshan. With the release date (August 14) inching closer, fans can't wait to see the epic faceoff of Jr NTR and Hrithik Roshan. Well, according to the latest report, Ayan is gearing up for Brahmastra: Part 2- Dev as the sequel has stepped up to the next level.

According to an exclusive report by Pinkvilla, Ayan Mukerji has taken the sequel of Brahmastra to the next level. The report suggests that Brahmastra 2 has entered the writing stage and Ayan has brought a fresh set of writers on board for the sequel.

Reportedly, Rajat Arora, known for Once Upon a Time in Mumbai and Kick, is working on the dialogues for Brahmastra 2. Meanwhile, another team of writers is dedicated to polishing the screenplay.

A close source to the development revealed to the entertainment portal that Jio and Ayan are committed to making Brahmastra 2 in 2026. However, the makers haven't yet decided who will portray Dev's character.

However, another source revealed to the portal that Ayan will start working on Dhoom 4, with Ranbir Kapoor in the lead, after wrapping War 2.

Well, there is no official report backing the claims. Fans have to wait if Ayan's immediate project after War 2 will be Brahmastra 2 or Dhoom 4.

Notably, Brahmastra: Part One- Shiva, despite its significant box office success was criticised for its storyline, dialogues, editing and performances. With Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt in the lead, Brahmastra 1, received mixed to negative reviews. However, its star power attracted the audience and achieved financial success.

Now, all eyes are on Brahmastra: Part Two: Dev. As it seems, learning from the 'mistakes', Ayan is being more cautious this time with Brahmastra 2 as he has brought a new team of writers to flesh out his concept and bring his vision to life.
