Ranveer Singh's Lyari Saga, Dhurandhar 2, is on track to outperform Allu Arjun's Pushpa 2 in domestic box office. However, there is a long way to go.
After 20 days, the domestic (net) collection of Ranveer Singh's film is at ₹1,033.37 crore, while the gross stands at ₹1,237.21 crore in India, according to Sacnilk.
To become India's highest-earning film, Dhurandhar 2 must earn ₹200.63 crore in the next days. Pushpa 2's domestic collections are ₹1,234.10 crore (net).
Dhurandhar 2's foreign gross reached ₹4.00 crore on Day 20, bringing the total to ₹404.00 crore. This brings the worldwide gross at ₹1,641.21 crore.

Breaking out the numbers
On Tuesday, Dhurandhar 2 grossed ₹10.10 crore, similar to Monday's earnings.
In Week 1, Dhurandhar 2 grossed ₹674.17 crore.
In Week 2, the domestic market generated ₹263.65 crore, a significant decrease from the previous week.
On March 19, Dhurandhar 2 opened with ₹102.55 crore at the box office, capitalising on the longer weekend.
The first week's revenues fluctuated between ₹40 crore and ₹60 crore, leading into the second weekend.The second week's numbers ranged from ₹20-30 crore.
The film grossed ₹43 crore at paid previews on March 18.
Will Dhurandhar 2 beat Pushpa 2 in the domestic market?
Dhurandhar 2 has already surpassed the domestic revenues of SS Rajamouli's Baahubali 2, which earned ₹1,030.42 crore (net).
While Dhurandhar 2's domestic collection is closer to Pushpa 2, there are a few aspects to consider before the former overtakes the latter.
Pushpa 2 grossed ₹945.75 crore in Hindi and ₹511.70 crore in South Indian states. While Dhurandhar 2 earned ₹960.54 crore in Hindi, it fell short of Allu Arjun's hit in the Southern states.

Pushpa 2's domestic domination was built on a gigantic dual-engine, with a ₹945.75 crore Hindi market contribution and a startling ₹511.70 crore from South Indian states (including ₹320.23 crore from AP/TG alone).
Dhurandhar 2's total Hindi net of ₹960.54 Cr is comparable to Pushpa 2's Hindi-only performance. To close the ₹273.56 crore difference and compete for the domestic all-time mark, the sequel will need an extraordinary multi-month run to compensate for the lack of a large South Indian surge. Sacnilk observed that it is still a high-stakes 'wait and watch' game: can pure Hindi-belt momentum ever overcome the combined regional fire of a pan-Indian giant?
