The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has opened the application process for the recruitment of Assistant Administrative Officers (AAO) and Assistant Engineers (AE) for 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online through the official LIC website, licindia.in, by September 8, 2025.

LIC Recruitment 2025: Vacancy details

Assistant Engineers (AE): 491 vacancies

Educational Qualification: Applicants must hold a degree such as Any Graduate, B.Tech/B.E, LLB, CA, or ICSI.

Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO–Generalist): 350 vacancies
Educational Qualification: Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.

Application Fee

For candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD categories, the application fee is Rs 85 plus applicable transaction charges and GST. For all other applicants, the fee is Rs 700 plus transaction charges and GST.

Age Limit

Applicants must be between 21 and 30 years of age to be eligible for this recruitment.

Exam Details

The preliminary examination is scheduled for October 3, 2025 (tentative), while the main examination will be held on November 8, 2025 (tentative).

Selection Process

The recruitment will follow a three-tier selection process. Candidates will first appear for the preliminary examination, followed by the main examination and an interview. A pre-recruitment medical test will also be conducted before final appointment.

It is important to note that marks secured in the preliminary examination (Phase I) will not be counted towards the final merit list. The final selection will be based on the combined performance in the main examination and the interview.
