Odisha chief Manmohan Samal: The BJPs growth is based on philosophy rather than blame games

Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal said on Saturday that the party's continuous rise is motivated by its unchanging ideology and dedication to the nation, not by accusations or political confrontation, following the BJP's overwhelming victory in the Nuapada bypoll.
Odisha BJP President Manmohan Samal said on Saturday that the party's continuous rise is motivated by its unchanging ideology and dedication to the nation, not by accusations or political confrontation, following the BJP's overwhelming victory in the Nuapada bypoll.
In response to accusations of "vote chori" made by the opposition, Samal stated, "We have been working on our ideology for a long time." We don't want to assign blame.

He recalled the party's beginnings and traced its ideological development. The BJP was created in 1980, while the Bharatiya Jana Sangh was started in Jharsuguda, Odisha, in 1964. Our ideology is to prioritize the country. "It always aims to make the country great," he stated.
Samal pointed out that the BJP emerged from the demolition of its predecessor. We destroyed the Bharatiya Jana Sangh when Atal Bihari Vajpayee founded the BJP in 1980. Our country is at the top for us. In reference to the sacrifices made during the Emergency, he continued, "We don't say this only in speeches."
"Lakhs were imprisoned during the 19-month Emergency. The BJP and Bharatiya Jana Sangh then united. For us, the country comes first, followed by society, the party, and last ourselves.

Samal stated, "In 1980, out of our 99 MPs, only three got ministerial berths—Vajpayee, Advani, and Verma," highlighting the party's preference for ideals over power. We were told to quit our ministerial positions by Vajpayee.
Samal also recalled what Vajpayee had said to Mumbai workers. "Vajpayee told us to build the party," he stated. He predicted that the BJP would emerge as a rival to the Congress. He went so far as to say that we might not take office until after 2020.
The BJP jumped ahead far earlier in spite of that forecast. We started as the alternative party in 1991. We were the top party in 1996, according to Samal.

Samal further emphasized that despite the unpredictability of power, BJP workers demonstrated exceptional dedication.
Why did employees stay with the party even if they knew it might not achieve power anytime soon? "It is the ideology of the party," he declared.
