Odisha cold wave: the coldest November night in 25 years is recorded in Bhubaneswar

Odisha has experienced a severe cold wave, with temperatures dropping precipitously throughout the state. The minimum temperature in the capital city of Bhubaneswar fell to 12.9 degrees Celsius, making it the coldest November night in 25 years. According to meteorological expert Umasankar Das, the prior night's temperature of 13 degrees Celsius was the second-coldest of the month.
For the past three days, Bhubaneswar has been steadily declining; early morning readings were 14.8 degrees Celsius, down from 16 degrees on November 14.
Conditions in coastal regions, which are normally protected from abrupt temperature drops, are likewise 3 to 5 degrees Celsius below the seasonal average.

The Meteorological Department predicts that the cold wave will last for the next two to three days, with no significant change in the nighttime temperature. After that, there will probably be a small increase of two to three degrees Celsius.
