On Thursday, 5,61,979 pupils showed up at 3,082 locations throughout the state for the Board of Secondary Education's (BSE) annual Matric Examination.
The Board and the School and Mass Education Department made great preparations to ensure a smooth and orderly conduct of the exam, which started at 9 am.
Comprehensive Planning and Monitoring System
Question papers were sent from nodal centers and would arrive at examination centers at the appointed time, according to authorities. Following established procedures, the packets will be opened in front of the kids and the center administrator.
The exam is scheduled to run from 9 to 11.30 a.m. Mobile phone use has been prohibited for officials and employees performing examination-related tasks. A three-tier squad structure has been established to stop malpractice, and special vigilance teams are touring various locations throughout the state.
As an extra security measure, the question papers now include watermark systems and QR codes. Following the completion of each exam, superintendents are required to provide the Board with daily updates.
The Board's headquarters in Cuttack now features a state-of-the-art command and control room. From there, officials keep a close eye on all examination and nodal centers around-the-clock.
Due to rigorous checking, students arrive early.
Students will show up for the MIL (Odia) paper on the first day. Up until March 2, the Matriculation Examination will be administered.
According to reports, kids were observed waiting outside testing locations during the reporting period. Candidates were permitted admission after the gates were opened at 7:30 am.
Before entering the exam rooms, students were subjected to a comprehensive frisking process. Before the test, teachers were observed encouraging pupils by giving them prasad and tilak in a number of locations.
