South beauty Srinidhi Shetty made her debut in 2018 with Prashanth Neel's KGF: Chapter 1, starring KFI's Rocking Star Yash. Though the movie became a blockbuster, Srinidhi was criticised by some for playing an 'insignificant' role. However, the 32-year-old actress had no issue in playing Reena Desai, the love interest of Rocky (Yash). The HIT 3 actress recently broke her silence on 'being a flowerpot' and said that she was least bothered by what everyone was saying.

During a recent interview with PTI, Srinidhi Shetty said that she wasn't much bothered by what everyone was saying about her debut role, as she was aware of the significance of the character in the movie. 

Srinidhi was quoted as saying, "I didn’t mind being a flowerpot in ‘KGF’ because that was like a dream project for me when it came, not because of how it would happen."

Further, she added, "When I heard the story, I knew my role is only this much, but I wanted to do it. I wanted my first movie to be that. But again, it’s an individual choice. Some people would love to be a flowerpot, some people wouldn’t."

However, now, Srinidhi's choice might differ. She said that if she is offered a similar 'flowerpot' kind role for her upcoming movies, she would take time to think.

Srinidhi stated that she would consider who the actor opposite her would be and for how long she would be on-screen.

"The first one was my conscious choice. But, there’s nothing bad, right, wrong, etc. It’s fine, there are no calculations," she added.

Notably, the KGF film series centres around Rocky, played by Yash, who rises through the ranks in the underworld to become the most-wanted gangster.  Though Srinidhi Shetty essayed the female lead character in the KGF franchise, she had a significantly smaller screen time in KGF: Chapter 1 and the makers pulled down the curtains on her character in KGF: Chapter 2.

While KGF: Chapter 3 has already been confirmed, there have been no updates from the makers. Currently, Prashanth Neel is busy with NTRNeel, starring Young Tiger Jr NTR in the lead. Following that he has Salaar: Part 2- Shouryanga Parvam with Rebel Star Prabhas. On the other hand, Yash has Geethu Mohandas' Toxic and Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. Updates on KGF 3 can be expected after Neel and Yash are done with their prior commitments.
