The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced a recruitment drive to fill 9,970 Assistant Loco Pilot positions across various regions in India. Eligible candidates can apply online via the official RRB websites. The last date for submission of applications is 11th May 2025.

The 9,970 Assistant Loco Pilot vacancies are distributed across the following regions:

Central Railway: 376 posts

East Central Railway: 700 posts

East Coast Railway: 1,461 posts

Eastern Railway: 768 posts

North Central Railway: 508 posts

North Eastern Railway: 100 posts

Northeast Frontier Railway: 125 posts

Northern Railway: 521 posts

North Western Railway: 679 posts

South Central Railway: 989 posts

South East Central Railway: 568 posts

South Eastern Railway: 796 posts

Southern Railway: 510 posts

West Central Railway: 759 posts

Western Railway: 885 posts

Metro Railway Kolkata: 225 posts

Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 30 years of age as of the cut-off date. Age relaxations will be applicable for reserved category candidates as per government rules.

Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their Graduate, Diploma, or ITI qualification in the relevant trade.

Selection Process

The selection will be conducted in multiple stages:

• Computer-Based Test (CBT)

• Document Verification

• Medical Examination

Candidates must clear all stages to secure the position of Assistant Loco Pilot.

Application Fee

The application fee for the RRB Recruitment 2025 is Rs 500 for General, OBC, and EWS candidates. For SC, ST, PwBD, and Female candidates, the application fee is Rs 250. The payment can be made online through debit/credit cards or net banking.
