Russian FM Lavrov: Russia will implement all agreements regarding Indias energy supply

"I can guarantee that India's interests as they apply to Russian supplies will not suffer. We will do everything to ensure that this unfair and dishonest competition does not damage our agreements," Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with Russia Today-India prior to his visit to New Delhi this week. Lavrov also praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, calling him one of the world's most dynamic leaders.
Prior to his trip to New Delhi this week, Lavrov gave Prime Minister Narendra Modi high marks in an interview with Russia Today-India, calling him one of the most dynamic leaders in history.I promise that India's interests in relation to Russian supply won't be negatively impacted. We'll stop at nothing to prevent our accords from being harmed by this unfair and dishonest competition," he declared.

"The Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant is our flagship project. It meets a significant share of India's needs," Lavrov stated. "Cooperation on the construction of new power units for this nuclear plant is continuing. Even so, India needs more. We continue supplying hydrocarbons such as gas, oil, and coal." Since February 2016, the first power unit of the Kudankulam NPP has been continuously operating at its design capacity of 1,000 MW.Our main project is the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant. It provides for a substantial portion of India's needs," he stated. "We are still working together to build new power units for this nuclear reactor. India still needs more, though. We still provide hydrocarbons like coal, oil, and gas."
Russia is providing technical help for the construction of the Kudankulam nuclear power plant in Tamil Nadu. In March 2002, work got underway. The Kudankulam NPP's first generating unit has been continuously running at its 1,000 MW design capacity since February 2016.According to Russian official media, the plant is anticipated to reach full capacity in 2027."One of the most energetic leaders the world has ever known" is how Lavrov described Prime Minister Modi. He has a lot of energy and directs it toward very important objectives like attaining maximum sovereignty in all areas, including the economy, military, defence, culture, and the preservation of India's unparalleled civilisational wealth."

According to Lavrov, there is no possibility that India and Russia's paths would diverge because their relationship is founded on friendship. "These relationships don't have a single word. In response to a query, he stated, "It is difficult to imagine a relationship so full and deep, not because human languages aren't rich enough."
"There is just no scenario in which our paths diverge; it is unimaginable. We started our discussion with friendship, which is the cornerstone of Russian-Indian relations," Lavrov said.

"Hindi-Rusi bhai bhai" (Indians and Russians are brothers) is more than simply a catchphrase to scream, according to Lavrov. "Indian cinema, Raj Kapoor, more recent television series and films—they are immensely popular in Russia, everywhere, in every corner," Lavrov stated. The economy, cooperative energy production, military cooperation, nuclear and other energy sources, humanitarian and cultural links, and a high-level political conversation characterised by extraordinary trust are all quite strong, he stated.

Therefore, those who are concerned about the future of India's friendship with Russia can relax. We must constantly be mindful of the dangers that some people are posing to our relationships, attempting to sabotage them, establishing closed institutions, and attempting to impose their own guidelines on how we should interact with Russia. Both our Indian friends and we observe all of it. That's why it's so important that those attempts continue to fail," Lavrov continued.
Lavrov will speak with his Indian colleague, S Jaishankar, and attend the meeting of the BRICS foreign ministers while in India. According to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry, the two ministers will discuss current regional and international concerns.

"The Middle East issue is expected to receive special focus. It further stated, "The Ministers are also expected to compare notes on cooperation within the G20, BRICS, and UN."
The two ministers will talk about a variety of important areas of bilateral cooperation, according to the statement. These include boosting commerce, stepping up efforts to create sustainable financial, logistical, and transportation channels that are shielded from illegal outside pressure, strengthening energy cooperation, and boosting collaboration in scientific and space technology, according to the ministry.
