The Bhubaneswar robbery! Thieves steal money and gold ornaments from a businessmans home.

Burglars are on the prowl in Bhubaneswar. In a latest incident, thieves allegedly looted gold jewellery worth approximately Rs 5 lakh and cash amounting to Rs 70,000 from a businessman's house in Bhubaneswar on Friday night.

The theft reportedly occurred at Lingipur area under the jurisdiction of Dhauli police station in the Capital City.

As per the allegation by the family members, the stolen items comprised two gold necklaces, as many gold chains, gold rings, bangles, and a net cash of Rs 70,000. 

The entire incident has been recorded on the CCTV system cameras installed in the nearby area, providing key visual evidence for the ongoing investigation.

Scientific Team Aiding Investigation

The family members have reportedly lodged a formal complaint about the theft case at Dhauli Police Station. Subsequently, police registered a case and started an investigation into the incident based on the CCTV footage.

A scientific team is reportedly aiding the investigation, seeking to uncover additional insights into the break-in.

"All of our family members were away from home as we had gone to watch jatra. When we returned home, we found to our utter dismay that our wardrobe was broken and gold ornaments worth around Rs 5 lakh and net cash of Rs 70,000 were missing. We have filed an FIR at the police station. Hopefully, police will help us find the stolen property," said the owner of the house.
