A Pakistani court condemned former ISI leader Faiz Hameed to 14 years in prison.

According to the Associated Press, a Pakistani military court sentenced former Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) chief Faiz Hameed to 14 years in prison on Thursday.
Hameed was condemned to prison by the Field General Court Martial (FGCM) for a number of offenses, including participating in political activities and breaking the Official Secrets Act.
According to a statement from the Pakistan military court, "the accused was tried on four charges related to engaging in political activities, violation of the Official Secrets Act detrimental to the safety and interest of the state, misuse of authority and government resources, and causing wrongful loss to individuals," as reported by AP.

According to the military, following "lengthy and laborious" judicial proceedings, the court convicted former ISI Director General Hameed guilty on all charges and sentenced him to 14 years in prison.
Hameed was thought to be close to former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, who has been imprisoned on several allegations since 2023, despite the military not providing any further information.
Hameed was arrested last year after the Supreme Court of Pakistan ordered an internal investigation into claims related to the Top City project scandal. For a private housing project, the Top City firm had been developing land close to Islamabad.
During his tenure as the ISI's director general from 2019 to 2021, Hameed was seen as incredibly powerful.

After Field Marshal Asim Munir, the current Army chief and head of the ISI, was ousted from the position, he was appointed to the coveted position.
