A temple in Ganjam, Odisha, is damaged by a rock collapse after Cyclone Monthas intense rains.

Cyclone Month-induced continuous rains caused a big rock to collapse on Thursday, damaging parts of a temple in the Ganjam region of Odisha. Thankfully, a serious accident was avoided because neither priests nor devotees were at the location when it happened.
According to sources, the incident happened at the Upara Byaghra Devi Temple in Kulada, which is located in the Ganjam district's Bhanjanagar block. The boundary wall of the Lord Hanuman temple below was harmed by the enormous boulder that tumbled down from above. The impact has also caused cracks to form on the major temple walls.

Landslides Are Caused by Rainfall According to reports, Cyclone Montha's intense rainfall in Southern Odisha has caused mudslides and other landfalls in several areas of Ganjam and the nearby Gajapati district. In steep locations, the ongoing rain has loosened the soil, causing rock displacements and damage in a number of places.
Administration Always Aware To Handle Emergencies
According to reports, the local government has allegedly kept vigilant in order to address such occurrences and is acting quickly to clear roads and keep an eye out in regions that are vulnerable to landslides. To stop additional harm, officials are keeping a careful eye on areas that are at risk.
