The man, who had been kidnapped earlier in the day by a group of Bangladeshi nationals along the international border, was turned over to Indian authorities by Bangladeshi officials on Tuesday night in a significant step.
Ranjit Das, a resident of Assam's Cachar district, has been recognized as the kidnapped guy.Sources claim that Das vanished on Tuesday morning after going to gather grass from territory near the border.
However, there were tensions in the area since the people said he had been kidnapped by a group from over the border.At around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, the Bangladesh Border Guard (BBG) turned over the kidnapped man, Ranjit Das, to Indian authorities, according to a police source.According to sources, he had visited what is known as Zero Point, which is Indian territory outside the border fence. He was kidnapped from that location by Bangladeshi nationals.

However, nine alleged illegal immigrants from Bangladesh were stuck in a no-man's-land near the South Salmara-Mankachar area of Assam on the India-Bangladesh border. To find a solution, the two forces called a flag meeting.
