Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, Thammas success demonstrates that nepotism is merely a pretext, according to Harshvardhan Rane: "Lets stop using this word."

Actor Harshvardhan Rane is now enjoying the success of his most recent film, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, which was directed by Milap Zaveri and costarred Sonam Bajwa. Due to the film's positive reception at the box office, the two have decided to go on a post-release promotional tour across the country. Harshvardhan discussed the movie's box office struggle against Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna's Thamma in an interview with Zoom. He also delivered a powerful statement against the ongoing nepotism controversy in Bollywood.
Harshvardhan Rane has concluded the discussion of nepotism.
"My first thought was that the entire nation should finally stop using this one word that we've been obsessed with for the last 6-7 years — nepotism," Harshvardhan added after giving some thought to the subject.

Since you folks have ended it, let's do the same in 2025. On Diwali, two foreign films were launched simultaneously, and both of them did equally well at the box office. What does that signify? that everyone is treated equally by the audience.
"So where is nepotism?" he continued. It is merely a pretext. You use this word if you're lethargic or risk averse. It is a defensive tactic. Simply smile, excuse yourself, and move on if someone around you says this word. Now, everyone is sick of hearing it. There are no more examples of this word because it has been overused," he said.

Concerning Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat and Thamma's box office receipts Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa's film Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has brought in ₹50 crores. A powerful politician and a strong-willed rockstar become entwined in the film, and their flaming romance turns into a conflict between obsession, ego, and broken hearts.
Aditya Sarpotdar is the director of Thamma, a supernatural-romantic thriller-comedy set in the horror-comedy universe of Maddock Films. It features Rashmika Mandanna as Betaal and Ayushmann Khurrana as a journalist who fall in love and challenge Nawazuddin Siddiqui's authority. It has made ₹100 crore in India so far.
