Engineer jobs: ISRO is accepting applications for several positions in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix.

The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has invited online applications from eligible engineering graduates for multiple vacancies to the post of Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ in Level 10 of the Pay Matrix. These are Group ‘A’ Gazetted posts in ISRO centres and Group ‘A’ Non-Gazetted posts in an autonomous body under the Department of Space (DOS).

Interested candidates can check their eligibility to apply on the official website of ISRO, link - www.isro.gov.in. Application process is valud till June 16, 2025.

Multiple applications are allowed, but candidates must select a common test centre for all applied posts. 

Recruitment Details

Total Vacancy: 210 Posts

Eligibiltiy Criteria

Electronics (Post Code BE001): 3 posts at ISRO Centres and 2 posts at PRL

Mechanical (Post Code BE002): 160 posts

Computer Science (Post Code BE003): 44 posts at ISRO Centres and 1 post at PRL

Each post requires a BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum aggregate of 65% marks or CGPA 6.84/10.

Application Fee 

An initial processing fee of Rs 750 per application is applicable to all candidates. However, Women, SC/ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen are eligible for full refund of Rs 750 upon appearing for the written test

All other candidates will receive Rs 500 refund (after deducting Rs 250 as the application fee).

The last date to pay the application fee is June 18, 2025.

Selection Procedure

The written test will be held in 11 cities: Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Chennai, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Thiruvananthapuram. However, ISRO reserves the right to modify or cancel test centres.

The test comprises a single objective paper of 120 minutes with two parts:

Part A: Technical knowledge

Part B: Aptitude/Ability Test (15 MCQs for 20 marks, no negative marking)

The overall assessment will be based on the following:

  • Technical Knowledge: 40 marks

  • Technical General Awareness: 20 marks

  • Presentation/Communication Skills: 20 marks

  • Comprehension: 10 marks

  • Academic Achievements: 10 marksTotal: 100 marks
