The artist who made India dance to the beat of Dil Toh Pagal Hai (1997) is now performing his magic in Ramayana, one of the nation's most eagerly awaited blockbusters. Ace choreographer Shiamak Davar unexpectedly revealed that he has officially joined Nitesh Tiwari's mythical epic, which stars Yash, Sai Pallavi, and Ranbir Kapoor.
"Abhi yeh jo naya film kar raha hun woh Dil Toh Pagal Hai nahi hai, woh Ramayana hai," Shiamak mocked when asked if he would ever make something similar to Dil Toh Pagal Hai again in an Instant Bollywood chat. Let's wait and see what transpires. "You're doing something for Ramayana?" the interviewer enquired, taken aback. "Of course, I'm always excited about my films," Shiamak retorted, laughing.
The legacy of Shiamak Davar
Shiamak made his Bollywood debut by choreographing the late Yash Chopra's Dil Toh Pagal Hai. He is also well-known around the nation for his dance lessons, which many people have taken since they were young. His work in the 1999 movie Taal also revolutionised dance on screen and established a new standard for choreography. Additionally, he has performed on international stages.
Concerning Ramayana
The two-part epic Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, retells the classic tale. Sai Pallavi will play Sita, Yash will play Ravana, while Ranbir will play Lord Ram. Sunny Deol and Ravi Dubey both play important roles in the movie. The first portion will be released on Diwali in 2026, and the second part will be released in 2027.
