Four of Delhis most wanted criminals were slain in a police encounter.

Four members of Bihar's infamous Ranjan Pathak gang were shot dead during an encounter in Rohini early on Thursday morning by the Delhi Police Crime Branch and Bihar Police in a coordinated operation. Around 2:20 AM, Dr. Ambedkar Chowk and Pansali Chowk on Bahadur Shah Marg engaged in a firefight.
The names of the deceased are Aman Thakur (21), Manish Pathak (33), Bimlesh Mahto alias Bimlesh Sahni (25), and Ranjan Pathak (25).
According to accounts, Aman Thakur lived in Delhi's Karwal Nagar, while Ranjan Pathak, Bimlesh Mahto, and Manish Pathak were from Sitamarhi, Bihar. All four were wanted in a number of Bihar criminal crimes, including armed robbery and several murders.

They were also charged with participating in the murders of Aditya Singh, Madan Sharma, and Ganesh Sharma, the district head of the Brahmashri Sena.
Police Stop in Response to Particular Intelligence Inputs
Sources claim that the coordinated action came after reliable intelligence reports indicating that the gang members were preparing a significant criminal act in advance of the next Bihar Assembly elections. A trap was set in the Rohini area in response to this information. The suspects allegedly opened fire as the police team tried to stop them, which led to police reprisals. All four men were wounded by bullets during the brief but fierce gunfight that followed.

Calls for Examination from Forensic Teams
After being taken to a hospital in Rohini, the injured were pronounced dead by medical professionals. According to reports, DCP Crime Branch Sanjeev Yadav acknowledged that the encounter was predicated on specific intelligence regarding the gang's activities in Delhi.
Following inspections by forensic and crime scene investigation teams, senior officials from the Delhi and Bihar Police departments later paid a visit to the location. According to the police, the accused in Dumra, Chaurat, Gahra, and Purnahiya were the subject of many sections of the Arms Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. According to authorities, the situation is currently being investigated further.
