"Good Game Sense": CSK Coach Gives Rs 14.20 Crore Star Kartik Sharma Special Recognition

Michael Hussey, the batting coach for the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), says that youthful player Kartik Sharma was able to relax down during the chase thanks to wicketkeeper batter Sanju Samson's composure and match awareness. The two formed a winning 114-run partnership against Delhi Capitals at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Kartik produced a mature knock and stayed undefeated at 41 off 31 balls as CSK chased down a modest goal of 156 runs in just 17.3 overs. Kartik arrived at a pivotal point during the chase as CSK lost back-to-back wickets.
Kartik, who was purchased for Rs 14.20 crore, has won both games in a row by being undefeated to the very finish.Hussey praised the young player's abilities and disposition while pointing out the advantage of having a seasoned batter like Samson on the opposite end to assist the 20-year-old batter in completing the chase. In my opinion, it's crucial for someone with Sanju's level of expertise to be in the center of a young player like Kartik who is still developing his skills in order to calm him down and guide him through the scenario. However, I also felt that Kartik had a great deal of maturity. In an IPL on X video, Hussey stated, "He didn't panic when he was going at about a run a ball."

"It could have been simple to assume that I needed to knock a couple sixes here, but it's actually one of his strong points. He has some good power, good batsmanship, and good game sense. I genuinely think there's still a place in the modern game for guys who have good craft and can play the situation well, assess the conditions well, not just have power to be able to blast the ball out of the park," he continued.
With 10 points from five games, CSK is now in sixth place following the victory. On May 10, they will play the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG).
