Huma Qureshi was offered the villain role of "Batman vs. Joker" in Delhi Crime S3: She engages in some terrible behaviour | Interview

This month will see the premiere of Delhi Crime's third season on Netflix. Huma Qureshi debuted as Meena, this season's formidable enemy, in the show's Tuesday promo. Huma explains why she agreed accept the role in an interview with Hindustan Times, calling it "exciting, and dark."
Meena, often known as Badi didi, is a Delhi Crime S3 trafficker with very few redeeming traits. When discussing her character, Huma states, "I don't judge it." "As an actor, it is not your job to pass judgement on what you play."

Am I acting like a police officer?
Over the whole of her nearly fifteen-year career, Huma has never played a role so detrimental. "I am a big fan of the franchise, so I said yes immediately when Tanuj (Chopra) and Apoorva (Bakshi, the showrunners) approached me," she says of being offered the part. "Am I playing a cop?" I asked her. And she declined. I assumed that since I portrayed Rani Bharti in Maharani, I would encounter such virtuous folks. However, I was thrilled as an actor since I had never played a character this dark.

"I want to be the show's most despised female character."
Huma is aware that the part will have an impact on the audience, and she hopes it will be in a positive way. The actor declares, "I want to be loved as the most hated woman in this show because she does some really horrible things that I don't approve of or stand for as an individual."
Rasika Dugal, Rajesh Tailang, Sayani Gupta, Mita Vashisht, Anshumaan Pushkar, and Kelly Dorji are also featured in Delhi Crime season 3. The well-liked series, which is directed by Tanuj Chopra, will be back on Netflix on November 13.

Delhi Crime gives the antagonist, DCP (now DIG) Vartika Chaturvedi (played by Shefali Shah), nearly the same authority and prestige as the protagonist for the first time. According to Huma, the producers intentionally aimed for the season to be a confrontation between the two. "This is Batman vs. Joker," was how this was presented to me. Naturally, every actor aspires to be Batman, and who wouldn't want to be the Joker? Thus, we are unable to reject this proposal," she laughs.
