Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced transformative industrial schemes worth over Rs 50,000 crore during his visit to Dhenkanal. Visiting the region for the first time since assuming office, CM Majhi highlighted a significant Rs 50,000 crore allocation for various industrial projects in the district.
Developmental Projects Unveiled
In addition to the solar investments, Majhi inaugurated developmental projects worth nearly Rs 308 crore. This includes 12 projects launched at a cost of Rs 112 crore and groundbreaking for 10 more valued at Rs 76 crore. Among these is the anticipated Rs 120 crore Baji Rout Sports Complex.
Speaking to a public gathering at Mahisapat, the Chief Minister emphasised these industrial projects' potential impact, with an expected employment boost for approximately 26,400 individuals, driving Odisha's economic growth.
Vision for Odisha's Future
Majhi reassured the public of his dedication to advancing Odisha's prosperity, with a goal to transform the state by 2036. "I will never breach the confidence the people have placed in me," he declared, promising steadfast focus on welfare and progress.
Job creation is a priority, as demonstrated by raising the upper age limit for government job aspirants and filling 27,000 positions within his debut year. The government plans to address an additional 40,000 vacancies this year.
Focus on Heritage and Culture
Affirming Dhenkanal's cultural significance, Majhi praised its historical contributions and famous Laxmi Puja festival. He also pledged development at the Mahima Gadi spiritual site.
Accompanying the Chief Minister were Dhenkanal MP Rudra Narayan Pany, Industries Minister Sampad Swain, Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Patra, and local MLAs, including Ashok Mohanty, Bibhuti Pradhan, and Simarani Nayak, along with district collector Somesh Upadhyay.
