In the dressing room, Gautam Gambhir compliments Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill before stating this about Virat Kohli.

With a remarkable 168-run partnership for the second wicket in Saturday's third One-Day International against Australia, the seasoned pair of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli turned back time. As concerns over their position on the Indian team seemed to subside, the iconic Ro-Ko performance comforted supporters everywhere. In the dressing room following the match, head coach Gautam Gambhir had some crucial comments for the Indian hitting unit.
With a 69-run partnership for the first wicket, openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill were praised by Gambhir to begin. Gambhir referred to the stand as "very important" during the 237-run chase.

"I believed that Shubman and Rohit's partnership was crucial when it came to the bat when it was 60 for no loss. The collaboration between Virat and Rohit was then exceptional once more. Additionally, another 100 [century] deserves special recognition. In a video released by the BCCI, he stated, "What matters most was that you and Virat completed it."

Both Rohit and Kohli are nearing the conclusion of their international careers, and Rohit acknowledged after the game that this was likely their final Australia match. The pair's focus is still on maintaining the match fitness they acquired in Australia as they prepare for their upcoming home assignment against South Africa.
After two ducks in the first two games, Kohli was relieved to have scored some runs, even though Rohit was voted Player of the Series for his performances in the three games.
Gambhir said that he was happy that both Rohit and Kohli ended the pursuit undefeated. He continued: "I thought that is something which was very important from the team's point of view as well, and how clinical we can be in these chases, and we were very good."
