The community-led B2B platform Kirana Club will be acquired by e-commerce company Meesho for about Rs 202 crore in an all-cash transaction, the company announced on Friday.
A regulatory filing claims that Meesho's board approved the purchase of a 100% share in Kirana Club Pte Ltd, a Singaporean company, and its Indian affiliate, Retail Pulse Labs Pvt Ltd (RPLPL).
According to the corporation, the transaction would be finished in three installments by March 31, 2027, at the latest."For an aggregate consideration amounting to Rs 2,02,08,52,202.40, in three tranches, the Board of Directors of Meesho Ltd. has considered and approved the acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Kirana Club Pte Ltd, a company incorporated under Singaporean law, and 0.41% of the share capital of Retail Pulse Labs Pvt Ltd, an existing subsidiary of Kirana Club incorporated under Indian law," the company."
Kirana Club will function autonomously as a fully-owned subsidiary of the Meesho group after the acquisition.

Kirana Club was established in 2020 and runs a mobile-first platform that enables small retailers to find, compare, and order fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) straight from brands, mostly in Tier 2 to Tier 4 cities and rural areas. There are presently more than 4.1 million registered retailers on the marketplace.
