On Thursday, an Odisha State Road Transport Corporation (OSRTC) bus near Salur Ghat in Koraput, on the boundary between Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, caught fire.
The car was travelling from Vizianagaram to Jeypore when it caught fire and was totally destroyed. Luckily, none of the 16 people on board were hurt during their escape.
The incident happened at 7:30 am while the bus was on the ghat, according to early accounts.
What Caused the Fire?
The fire is thought to have started due to an electrical system short circuit.
The car caught fire in a matter of seconds, and the occupants had to flee to save their lives.
The Andhra Pradesh Fire Service responded quickly to the scene after getting information, and they were able to put out the fire and stop it from spreading.
To ascertain the precise cause of the incident, local authorities have started an inquiry.
According to witnesses, the driver's prompt response and the passengers' attentiveness prevented a possible catastrophe.
