On his 37th birthday, Yuvraj Singh shares old photos of Virat Kohli. Dont Overlook the Caption

Virat Kohli became close to former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh after making his debut for the country in 2010. Under MS Dhoni's leadership, the two shared the dressing room when India won the 2011 ODI World Cup. On November 5, 2025, Kohli turned 37. Yuvraj sent the legendary batsman a heartfelt congratulations by posting some of his old photos on social media. Yuvraj, who is regarded as one of the best middle-order hitters in history, also wrote a lovely commentary for the picture."Once a King, always a King. Happy birthday @imVkohli. Sending you lots of love for a great year ahead. Stay blessed!," Yuvraj captioned the post.

Since making his debut on the international cricket scene in 2008 as a plump-faced teenager from the streets of West Delhi, Virat Kohli has ascended to a level in the game that few others have attained, amassing a collection of individual and team achievements that would make nearly every significant cricket player of his era jealous.
Virat was obviously different from his predecessors, Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Sourav Ganguly, even in his early years when he led India to an U19 World Cup victory in Kuala Lumpur.

As the leader of India's next generation, along with MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma, he took the best aspects of these legends and turned them into something greater, even though he reminded people of Ganguly with his on-field aggression and Sachin with his consistency and rock-solid technique over the years.
A Test ambassador with unprecedented highs and agonising lows
Virat played in 123 Test matches while wearing India's whites. He finished his Test career as the country's fourth-highest run scorer with 9,230 runs at an average of 46.85, 30 hundreds, 31 fifties, and a maximum score of 254*.

From 2016 to 2019, Virat had one of the best prime runs in Test cricket, amassing 4,208 runs at an average of 66.79 in 43 Tests, including 16 hundreds and 10 fifties. He also scored an incredible seven double tonnes, the most by a Test cricket leader.
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy this year proved to be his final Test match, although the conclusion of his career was quite traumatic.
