At several locations throughout Odisha, there were major disruptions to the Revenue Inspector (RI) exam on Thursday, which left students angry and nervous.
Exam centres at Bhubaneswar's Mancheswar, Chandrasekharpur, Patia, Nayapalli, and several other places reportedly had delays in candidate entry due to technical issues, mainly server outages.
Even while it is encouraged that students arrive at the exam locations on time, the unintended technical issues simply made people worry about backup systems and backup plans to prevent disruptions in subsequent exams.
Students were unable to reach the exam rooms on time if they came far in advance of the 7:30 am entrance time. Examinees experienced anxiety and uneasiness as a result of having to wait over an hour and only being permitted inside by 8:45 am.
According to reports, similar problems were noted at centres in Kakatpur and Berhampur.
Candidates expressed their dissatisfaction, claiming that such delays shouldn't have occurred despite arriving early and adhering to all procedures. Students who were upset insisted that appropriate steps be made to guarantee that they would not be at a disadvantage because of technical issues.
"Technical issues caused us to start much later than planned, but we arrived at the centre on time and finished all verification procedures. One Mancheswar student stated, "This affected our preparation and focus."
Officials involved in this matter were unable to comment.
