Following a thorough search by Burla police and firefighters, the body of a young person was found on Saturday in the Chipilima power channel in the Sambalpur district of Odisha. The deceased was identified as Bolangir resident Saurabh Sambit.
Saurabh had reportedly travelled to VIMSAR Hospital in Burla to receive treatment for his mother, who has a critical ailment.
Before his body was recovered, he was absent for two days. According to reports, Saurabh fled the hospital grounds on Wednesday night without telling anyone. He is alleged to have later informed his mother of his decision to take his own life in an emotional message.

Police have opened an inquiry into the event and filed a case.

A search procedure was started based on the message. But the corpse wasn't found until Saturday, when it surfaced. After that, the body of the dead was submitted for a post-mortem examination.
After discovering that his mother's condition was unlikely to improve, Saurabh is suspected of jumping into the Chipilima power channel. The incident's precise circumstances are still unknown.
