The first C-295 built in India completes its first test flight

The Indian Air Force (IAF) announced on Wednesday that the first C-295 military transport aircraft built in India had successfully completed its inaugural flight.
For about Rs 21,935 crore, the IAF is purchasing 56 C-295 cargo aircraft.
In collaboration with Airbus, Tata Advanced Systems Limited would assemble forty of these aircraft at a Vadodara production site.
The IAF praised the whole team responsible for the first India-made C-295's successful first flight.
"The achievement reinforces India's growing aerospace capabilities and underscores the Indian Air Force's commitment to fostering indigenous defence capability under the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat," it stated.
