The accused in the triple murder case reported from Gariapali village under Kundheigola police station in Deogarh district has been identified and apprehended, police said on Saturday.
The accused, Ramesh Garia, had fled after reportedly killing three members of his family, including his wife, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. According to reports, he was later discovered hiding on top of a water tank in the village, prompting a joint operation including police, firefighters, and local residents.
Accused Was Found Hiding
According to reports, people discovered the accused on top of the village water tank and quickly surrounded the location to keep him from fleeing. Local people kept an eye on the situation and alerted the police.Following receipt of the information, officers from the Kundheigola police station arrived at the scene and began their search for the suspect. Because there were concerns that he would jump from the water tank, the fire department was summoned to assist with the operation.
According to police, the operation was carried out by a fire service crew, who took the accused down from the top of the structure with tact.

After a lengthy operation on the scene, Kundheigola police were able to apprehend the accused with the help of fire service personnel. He was then brought into prison.Police stated that no weapons were discovered in his possession at the time of his arrest.

After being apprehended, the accused was transported to a hospital, where it was revealed that he had swallowed poison.
